Starting pay is based on education and experience ranging from $68,600-$83,200.

Starting pay is $17.50/hour.
Dispatcher
The University of Kentucky Police Department Communication Officer serves as the critical link between the community and emergency services. This role involves receiving and responding to a wide range of emergency and non-emergency calls. The Communications Officer must quickly assess and interpret each situation, determine the appropriate response, and take action—whether that’s dispatching emergency personnel, providing accurate information, or directing the caller to the appropriate agency.
Starting pay is $21/hour.
