Obtaining Police Reports
Release of Reports
All reports are made available within 5 business days.
Collision Reports
- Files may be released in whole to participants of collisions at our service window, or at https://www.buycrash.com/
- At https://www.buycrash.com/ enter:
- State: Kentucky
- Jurisdiction: University of Kentucky Police Department
- You must select UK Police Department. Do not select Lexington.
- Then enter your report number.
Criminal Reports
- The summary page can be issued at service window.
- If further help is needed, we can assist you in contacting the UK Open Records office.
Visiting UK Police Headquarters
Directions & Parking
UKPD is located at 152 Transcript Avenue, Lexington, KY 40508
Non-UK visitors should park in UK HealthCare Parking Structure #8, 110 Transcript Ave, Lexington, KY 40508. Follow directions to “Patient and Visitor Parking” when entering the garage. This garage is connected to our building. You will then need to exit the garage and walk to the UK Police Headquarters entrance off Transcript Ave. On the map below, the parking garage is highlighted in green and the UKPD HQ entrance is noted with a red arrow.
UK visitors should park in their designated lots based on their Parking Pass.
Inside the Building
Enter through the main front door and proceed to the 2nd floor to speak to a UKPD representative at the service windows for reception and/or records.
