Medical Countermeasures: Point of Dispensing (POD), Planning and Response MGT-319

This training course is to enhance jurisdiction preparedness and emergency response efforts by providing the knowledge of how to exercise and revise a plan that utilizes an all-hazards, whole community approach toward a medical countermeasures event. Assists with coordination of planning, training and responding to a Medical Countermeasure (MCM) response for a public health incident. This course responds directly to the National Preparedness Goal; as it applies to delivery of medical countermeasures to exposed populations.

Master Public Information Officer

MPO: Master Public Information Officer course moves from the tactical to the strategic level of media and brand management. Participants will spend 4 ½ days exploring the business model of media engagement, take a deeper dive into cultivating a brand image through internal and external communications, and learn how to proactively pitch stories in today’s 24/7 news environment.
Prerequisite: This class builds on concepts learned in the FBI-LEEDA Media and Public Relations class, therefore, students must have completed the MPR class prior to enrolling in the Master PIO class.
SUPPORT THAT SAVES: A GUIDE TO BUILDING AND SUSTAINING PEER SUPPORT

Education is the first step in building an effective peer support program. Support That Saves: A Guide to Building and Sustaining Peer Support is a three-day training opportunity that covers all elements of building and maintaining an effective peer support program. Peer support programs provide many benefits to first responders, including acknowledging the difficulties of response work, strengthening teams, and equipping them to cope effectively.
Delivered as part of TEEX’s Wellness and Resiliency Program for first responders, the program’s primary goal is to train first responders in culturally competent, trauma-informed, peer-supportive care, so they are prepared to support mental health needs in their communities via face-to-face peer support networks.
AWR-348- Bombing Prevention Awareness Course (1 Day)
Date: November 3, 2026
This course equips participants with foundational knowledge to help mitigate the impact of a bombing incident, including awareness of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) construction and classification, homemade explosives and precursor materials, explosive effects and mitigation strategies, the terrorist attack cycle, and appropriate responses to suspicious activities and items.
MGT-451- Bomb Threat Management Planning Course (1 Day)
Date: November 4, 2026
This course equips participants with general knowledge on the DHS risk management process and bomb threat management. It covers roles and responsibilities of the bomb threat management team, BTM plan components, and will allow participants to apply their knowledge in developing a BTM plan.

PER-336- Protective Measures Course (1 Day)
November 9, 2026
This course provides knowledge and awareness to identify risks and vulnerabilities to facilities, venues, or events as well as identifying different types of protective measures to mitigate IED threats. Participants will be able to apply the course concepts with hands-on activities.

PER-312- VBIED Detection Course (1 Day)

The Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device Detection course provides foundational knowledge and skills for identifying, and/or responding to VBIED threats safely and effectively. It covers topics such as vehicle-borne explosive threat overview, identifying vehicle-borne explosive hazards, assessment of vehicles and occupant behavior, and vehicle inspection demonstration.
