The Security Technology Group’s main priority is system control and management of all physical security components on campus. They are comprised of a team of specialists: a Security Systems Director, a Physical Security Support Manager, a Project/Program Manager, three Security System Analysts, two field technicians, and an embedded technician from our Securitas access control partner. 

 The Security Technology Group is customer service driven – handling requests from many different entities throughout the University.  They are responsible for adding or removing access, setting lock schedules, maintaining Talk-a-Phones and cameras, and overseeing the continual expansion of the access control and video management systems. 

 Since 2012, the video management system has grown to have about 5000 cameras covering our campus and our buildings off campus. Along with that, the access control system has grown to include more than 10,000 electronically controlled doors across residence halls, academic buildings, the medical center campus, and off campus buildings.
